Introduction to Metalsmithing

# 101

This series of 4 classes covers the fundamentals of metalworking through demonstration and practice. Students will develops a vocabulary of skills that will enable them to materialize their own design ideas. These classes are ideal for those who have been working in beads and wire and are looking to expand their skills or anyone who is interested in learning about working in metal. Skills taught include sawing, piercing, drilling, filing, forging, soldering and polishing. Students will work in copper and brass, and sterling silver is available for purchase.  Students who enroll in this class also receive 4 hours of open studio to practice their new skills.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If you need to cancel your registration for any workshops a full refund will only be given if you contact us two weeks prior to the class. If you cancel with less than two weeks notice, you will receive a credit for half of the workshop price to be used toward a future offering. No refund or credit will be given for no-shows and cancellations with less than a weeks notice. Classes are subject to cancellation for low enrollment. In the event of cancellation, you will be given a full refund or you may apply your credit to a future class.
